Mini Series Day 4 of 6, Golden Gate Park
By day the Golden Gate Park is alive with runners, boaters, bicyclists, museum-goers, and picnickers but a night the park takes on a different aura. The 1,000 acres receive the dense rolling fog and the park transforms itself into something more eerie. Over the years a number of drivers motoring through this grey, hazy maze of trees have been pulled over by a policeman and been cited for speeding. When these drivers later protest the tickets they are told that name and badge number of the officer that issued the ticket belongs to a policeman who has been dead for over ten years. This event is so common that San Franciscans, followed at night by a policeman in the park, know to exit the park and the ghost officer will vanish.
