Escape From Alcatraz Triathlon, Sutro Heights
Machine Gun Kelly couldn't do it, could you? Sunday was the 28th annual Escape From Alcatraz Triathalon in San Francisco. The triathlon starts early in the morning with 2,000 racers diving into the frigid waters from Alcatraz Island and swimming the one and a half miles to the shore of the St. Francis Yacht Club where they jump on bicycles for an 18-mile ride over some of the city's steepest hills. The race is topped off with an 8-mile run over more hills, past Baker Beach and Fort Point. You have no idea how hard it was for me to shoot this event, my tripod nearly drown me. The triathlon is preceded by a two-day Fitness Festival & Expo on the Marina Green.

I did pop over to tell you that I gave you a little award today. You can see what it is on my blog. ;-)
