Wave Organ, Marina Breakwater
Located on a breakwater jetty off the Marina, the Wave Organ is an acoustic sculpture by environmental artist and stonemason, Peter Richards. The organ, made from recycled materials including curbstones and headstones, contains 25 organ pipes at various elevations. Sound is created by the waves striking and moving in and out of the pipes. The sculpture offers seating for those who want to take in the views while listening to the harmonic moaning that changes with the tide.
