Where can you find great food, everything from a cheeseburger to Escargot Bourguino, at 2 am? At Liverpool Lil's, a cozy 70s-style British pub and a locals favorite. Located off the beaten path, across the street from the Presidio's Lombard Gate this friendly pub has been around for more than three decades and has improved with age. The dark, wood-paneled interior is covered with a thousand frame photos and newspaper articles from San Francisco's history. The place somehow manages to be everything to everyone; sports bar, late-night couple's spot, traditional pub, old school dinner and mixed drink restaurant, neighborhood hangout, best-burger-in-the-city joint, business dinner favorite, and raucous guys/girls night out destination. Outdoor seating is available and pleasant at Lil's, if the fog isn't too cold.
