Mini Series Day 6 of 6, China Camp
During the last part of the 1800s a fishing and shrimping community of about 500 Chinese developed on the North Shore of San Francisco Bay. This crude village made up of shanty homes and a few stores soon became known as China Camp. The community suffered many hard times including violent encounters with police and other fisherman. A number of the Chinese shrimpers were shot or drowned. Today locals claim that some of those who lost their lives remain here to this day. Muffled Chinese voices may be heard on the deserted beach and more than once after sundown a Chinese fishing boat has been seen silently gliding into shore only to disappear as it touches land.

Photographic Anomaly
I visited China Camp after sundown to take photographs for this mini series. After shooting the camp exteriors and beach I entered one of the dark, abandoned shacks that has been turned into a historical exhibit. Because I couldn't see anything inside I shot my flash a couple times to get a glimpse of the interior. Later when I got home and downloaded my pictures I found this photo which appears to have captured something moving or translucent. Of the hundreds of photos that I've taken for FogBay this is the only one where this kind of image appears.
