Crissy Field Center, Crissy Field
The mission of the Crissy Field Center is to 'offer a wide variety of programs and amenities that connect the diverse population of the Bay Area to urban environmental issues through hands-on state-of-the art education.' Opened in 2001 the center has served over a half million people through school field trips, public workshops, after school programs, and summer camps. The center is housed in a historic and sustainably renovated building off Crissy Field on San Francisco's northern shore. The Crissy Field Center contains a media lab, resource library, arts workshop, science lab, gathering room, and teaching kitchen. You can find a current list of the center's activities HERE or drop by the center to browse the bookstore and take in the beautiful views from the cafe veranda.
