San Francisco Bay Area Anarchist Book Fair
The 13th annual San Francisco Bay Area Anarchist Book Fair was held in Golden Gate Park's County Fair Building this Easter weekend. The main hall featured about 60 organizations and vendors displaying books, pamphlets, zines, t-shirts and other merchandise and information. The auditorium was used by various speakers, panels, an art gallery, and media presentations. The BAABF has become one of the largest annual gatherings of anarchists and radical booksellers in the world. The free event has been sponsored by the Bound Together Bookstore since 1996 and has featured speakers such cutting edge authors as Susie Bright and Kathy Acker, as well as musician (and mayoral and presidential candidate) Jello Biafra from The Dead Kennedys.
