The Center, Market Street
The Center on Market Street provides a host of programs and services for the LGBT community. Officially known as The Charles M. Homes Campus of the Center, it brings together many organizations to provide legal, health, social, educational and cultural services. Organizations at the Center include the Harvey Milk Institute, Marriage Rights Action Center, Rainbow Toastmasters, Newcomers Assistance, Alcoholics Anonymous, Senior Lunches, Workforce Development, and much more. Open since 2002 the 40,000 square foot Center also features childcare, a reading room, a restaurant, a cyber-cafe, classrooms, exhibit space, a store, performance space, and meeting rooms.
