Fixer-Upper, Marin County
In April Marin became the first county in California to have the median price of a single-family home surpass a million dollars. Marin County, just across the Golden Gate Bridge from San Francisco is nearly 500 square miles in size and has a population of just under quarter million people. There are more than 60,000 single-family homes in the County. While nationwide a housing slump has continued, the Bay Area has seen home prices rise while at the same time seeing the number of sales decline.
