Schulz Museum, Santa Rosa
The Charles M. Schulz Museum is located in the artist's hometown of Santa Rosa in Sonoma County. The creator of the Peanuts comic strip lived on this spot for most of his life, drawing inspiration from the children of Santa Rosa. Schulz paid them back by building a children's ballfield, indoor tennis courts, and an ice arena. The Schulz compound also features theater, a research center, a gallery, gift shop, and a recreation of his working studio. Outside the museum is a Snoopy-shaped labyrinth and the famous kite-eating tree.
