San Francisco Croquet Club, Stern Grove
As the first U.S. Croquet Association club in Northern California, the San Francisco Croquet Club has been "roqueting" and "stalking the ball" for over 25 years. On any given weekend you can see the members of the SFCC playing in crisp white outfits out on their manicured greens near Stern Grove. Membership is open to anyone and the club also hosts lawn parties for corporate and social groups for groups up to 150. The American six-wicket game and the popular Golf Croquet variant the SFCC play are quite a bit different from the casual backyard that most people are used to playing. Fortunately the SFCC is a great place for the novice to learn how to play, you don't even need to dress in all white for the friendly folks at the SFCC to introduce you to their great game.
