Malloch Apartment Building, Telegraph Hill
In the 1947 film noir classic, 'Dark Passage' Lauren Bacall hides recently-escaped San Quentin inmate, Humphrey Bogart at her home in this deco building on Telegraph Hill while he recovers from his plastic surgery. Everything is going well until Agnes Moorehead comes snooping around in her matching leopard skin jacket and hat then... well you'll just have to find out for yourself. This building is actually the Malloch Apartment Building, built in 1934 which sits below Coit Tower and overlooks the Bay Bridge, all of which lends the location a silvery, foggy, mysterious appeal.
