Yoda Fountain, Presidio
From Caribbean pirate ships to Imperial Death Stars, Jurassic dinosaurs to Lost Ark Raiders, Hogwart Wizards to Men in Black, many favorite movie moments and characters were created in the bay area. The brand new home of Yoda and Indiana Jones is the 23 acre Letterman Digital Arts Center, which now houses George Lucas' Industrial Light & Magic and LucasArts. The beautiful $100 million facility was built on the site of the Presidio's former Letterman Medical Center and contains 600 miles of fiber optic cable and a massive computer Render Farm, processing data 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The famous Skywalker Ranch in Marin County remains home to Skywalker Sound and Lucasfilm.
