Hyatt Regency, Embarcadero
Last year 15.2 million people visited San Francisco, that's more than twenty times the city's population. Many of these visitors stayed in one of the city's 233 hotels. Containing the world's largest hotel lobby, the Hyatt Regency Hotel sits on the bay in San Francisco's Financial District. The 17 story atrium displays Charles Perry's sculpture 'Eclipse' which stands forty feet high. Developed by the Rockefeller family and built in 1973, the hotel also features glass pendant elevators and a revolving restaurant which provides a 360° view of the city's skyline and waterfront every forty minutes.

I remember when my sister was dining at the revolving restaurant, The Equinox. She set her purse on the window sill and realized twenty minutes later that it was now on the other side of the restaurant :)
