Mini-Series Day 2 of 4, Tea House
The fortune cookie, mistakenly considered a Chinese invention, was actually created and first served by the Hagiwara family inside the tea garden. Today these cookies and other Japanese treats are offered, along with pots of tea, to visitors by kimono-wearing hostesses in the garden's tea house.
