Trolley, North Point
San Francisco maintains a fleet of historic trolleys that service the city every day. Don't be surprised to see a 1934 open air 'boat car' from Blackpool, England or a street car that predates the 1906 earthquake carrying commuters along the Embarcadero.

Hi there,

I really enjoy all of your photos, especially this one. I just like the stop action of street car and the yellowness of it all juxtaposed against what looks like a sepia toned background. Good stuff.

It was a shock to me the first time I saw Portland's Council Crest streetcar rolling down the Embarcadero. My mom used to ride that car home from Lincoln High School in the '30s.
