A B O U T F O G B A Y
Like many San Franciscans I am always seeking out unique and interesting places to take my relatives and friends when they come to visit. I also enjoy collecting interesting stories and anecdotes about the area. So recently when I started taking photographs I decided to create FogBay.com to combine the information along with the photos in the hope of sharing a little bit of the San Francisco Bay Area that I love so much. I hope you enjoy this site. If you do, please leave a comment, thanks.

I like the calm feel of your FOG site. Very Oriental. I can almost hear the monks bow and the sounds of their gowns slicing the stillness in their morning prayers of this ancient fog.

I love the tranquility of your pictures as well as the varied locations you take us on your photoblog. Its most enjoyable to see life in still art pictures. Keep it up.

I guess that this must be a brand new site, and that's why there are so few comments... because it's a stunning photolog! Congratulations.

Terrific site! Love the quotes and after living in the bay area for 15 years, it reminded me of so many events and places I have yet to check off my list. Lucky you, that you have had the time to make your way around the bay recently, and lucky for us that you've chosen to share.

Now that I live across the ocean from The City -- which is and will always be my hometown -- I can appreciate it all the more! Thank you for your beautiful pictures and interesting captions! I often miss The City more after visiting your site, but in a good way.

Keep up the good work!

I grew up in San Francisco (Noe Valley), and rarely left before going to college in 2001. I've been homesick every day since. I've honestly never met another American who has the same yearning for, or connection to home; especially those raised in suburbs have an unsettling insouciance about feeling at home anywhere. In terms of identity, I feel more indebted to the city than to any other influence. The combination of your beautiful photography and poetic quotes honestly brought tears to the eyes of this San Francisco ex-patriate, and made me want to get in a cab to the airport, go home, and never leave again.
Thank you- I'll be a regular visitor from now on.

Wow....thank you so much for the great photos.
I, like some of your other fans, am an SF ex-pat.
The photos of GG Park make me the most homesick, I can feel the cool air from the fog on my skin now...
Your artistic eye and subject matter are really down-to-earth, which is why I think that you are getting such emotional reactions from those of us who know, miss and love The City.
Keep up the great work!

I stumbled upon your site by mistake, and was very pleasantly surprised. You have a great talent of casting the bay area in a certain light. Beautiful.

Your photos definitely capture the unique sites of SF. I also like the effect you put on your photos. It creates a sense of a gloomy SF day...fogbay.

thanks again,

Hi there,

For some reason, my earlier email reply(ies) to you kept bouncing back. Your spam filter is doing good work.

Thank you for spending such quality time with TangoBaby! That's very kind of you.

You made my day.

Wow, I live in SF and you have illustrated so beautifully why this is the best city to live in. Clearly I need to get out more, there are many spots you've visited that I've not been to yet! I can't even come close to matching your talent, but I will have my handy Canon SD 900 with me.

Thanks for the wonderful work you do!

I was born in the Bay Area, and have spent most of my life here. Almost all in the places in your blog (at least the first couple hundred entries) are familiar to me, but I love the desaturated look of the pictures and commentary.

Whenever I go traveling to far away places, I always think how happy I am that when it's time to go home, home is one of the most interesting places I know.
