Beware the Brides of March!
A yearly San Francisco tradition took place last Saturday, the Ides of March. Around four in the afternoon the Union Square shopping district was overrun by around three hundred brides, laughing, singing, and generally confusing the visitors. The 10th Annual Brides of March celebration began as usual, with the brides overwhelming a nearby dive bar for some pre-wedding drinks prior to the Union Street romp. This year's selection of both male and female brides included punk brides, zombie brides, cat brides, and redneck brides, all shouting, "Beware the Brides of March!" They were joined by various would-be clergy, wedding planners, and shotgun-wielding fathers of brides. After the mass gathering the brides broke up into smaller groups and went about terrorizing shoppers and tourists inside the Union Square shops.
