Presidio Terrace, Arguello Boulevard
There are a number of prestigious addresses in San Francisco; Pacific Heights, Nob Hill, and Sea Cliff. One of the most exclusive, due to its limit of 40 homes, is the swank circular neighborhood of Presidio Terrace. Located in the shadow of Temple Emanu-El just outside the Presidio's Arguello Gate. This extravagant develoment was built in 1905 and once featured a race restriction, assuring only white residents. Pictured above is the former residence of Senator Diane Feinstein and her husband Richard Blum. Their home hosted many receptions for presidents, ambassadors and foreign dignitaries. In 2006 the couple sold this home and purchased a $16.5 million, 9,500-square-foot mansion In Pacific Heights. That new mansion had previously been owned by the former wife of George Lucas, another member of Bay Area fete set.
