A Foggy Day in the Sunset District
The largest district in San Francisco is the Sunset. Known as 'The Outlands' in the 1800s, the district takes up the west central part of the city, south of Golden Gate Park and north of Stern Grove. The Sunset is known for its sleepy blocks of pre-war homes and the dense fog that hangs here while much of the rest of the San Francisco might be sunny.

Previously an Irish American neighborhood, today it is about half Asian American, mostly made up of Chinese Americans who moved here from the 1960s through the 1980s. Along with the Richmond District, the western area north of Golden Gate Park, the two districts make up 'The Avenues', the largest residential areas of the city. The sunset is divided into two parts, the Outer Sunset next to the Ocean and the Inner Sunset to the east.

Wow, this is a pretty boring post... well, welcome to the Sunset District.
