Mini Series, Maker Faire, Day 3 of 3
One of the reasons that I featured the May event this week is that the Maker Faire will be also be held in Austin, Texas on October 20th and 21st. If you're in the area it's certainly worth the drive. Beyond those displays featured here, the Faire also includes illustrators, bookbinders, fashion designers, musical acts, jewelry designers, how-to demonstrations on many topics, a catapult and backyard ballistics demonstration, gaming hacking, man-made lightning, and much more.

Today's pictures from the Bay Area's Faire include the Cable Graveyard, a free swap area, a life-sized Mousetrap Game that uses bowling balls instead of marbles, and a knitter playing drums with his knitting needles. After the jump; fire-throwing machines by The Crucible, an Oakland based arts program and an all-wood clock that runs solely on gravity.
