Balconies, Hyatt Regency
Sitting at the base of Market Street and overlooking the San Francisco Bay, the Hyatt Regency is one of the city's great convention hotels. Its 802 rooms are designed around a 17 story, pyramid-shaped lobby designed by John C. Portman and used as the interior for the film The Towering Inferno. Other films shot a the photogenic Hyatt Regency include Time After Time, Things to Come, and the Mel Brooks' parody of Alfred Hitchcock's, High Anxiety.
