Southeast View, Mount Tamalpais
As a follow-up to yesterday's post on the Queen of the Tamal, here is a view from near the top of Mount Tamalpais. Sitting majestically across the Golden Gate in Marin County, Mount Tamalpais is the Bay area's highest peak at 2,671 feet and on a clear day you can see parts of nine counties from its summit. In this view is Mill Valley in the foreground with the peninsula of Tiburon and Belvedere extending from the left with Angel Island beyond. In the faint distance you can barely see the East Bay with Oakland, Berkeley, Alameda, and Mount Diablo, featured in the Tamal Queen's legend.
