Mini Series Day 5 of 5, Arts and Traditions, Old and New
Here we'll say goodbye to the Cherry Blossom Festival. Featured above, Koto musicians, Ikebana flower arrangement, and a traditional tea ceremony. Other arts on display at the festival included brush calligraphy, Shakuhachi & Shamisen music, Origami, village crafts, Kimekome doll making, Butoh dance, martial arts, and Noh theater. San Francisco's Japantown is always a fun visit but for two weekends in April during Cherry Blossom Festival, it's an absolute joy.
