The Bohemian Club, Downtown

SCREENPLAY IDEA:
ACT I

A plucky San Francisco blogger, Ramsey Phogbey (played by Jake Gyllenhaal) discovers a shadowy, ultra-exclusive club operating in the heart of the city. Its six story, ivy-covered building is marked with odd owl engravings and cryptic messages. After investigating our hero finds that this secret society is none other than the infamous Bohemian Club which dates back to 1872. The all-male club's membership roll includes presidents, CEOs, military contractors, foreign heads of state, and other power brokers. The shadowy club meets once a year, in Sonoma just north of San Francisco, in their 2700-acre redwood forest retreat, 'Bohemian Grove' to perform bizarre rituals, plan how to consolidate power, and rig the international financial markets.

ACT II
Our hero discovers that former attendees to the forest ritual have included Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan, Henry Kissinger, George Shultz, William Casey, David Rockefeller, William Randolph Hearst Jr., Malcom Forbes, Donald Rumsfeld, both George Bushes, and Dick Cheney. Aided by Molly McSidekick, a spunky Golden Gate toll-taker, played by Bea Arthur (note: rethink that) our intrepid blogger also discovers that the group's power extends farther than he thought with the organization's secret symbol, the owl, appearing hidden on the one dollar bill. Soon strange 'accidents' begin to befall Ramsey and Molly as they come closer to unraveling the truth about the mysterious Bohemians.

ACT III
The plot reaches its height when Ramsey and Molly discover that poet George Sterling committed suicide by swallowing cyanide while in his room at the Bohemian Club in 1926, and they uncover the secret he was hiding. The film's final scene is a harrowing cable car chase down the hilly streets of San Francisco with the Bohemian's attempting to kill Ramsey before he can post his blog and expose the Club's evil plans for world domination. Will he escape and save the world?
