What makes the Golden Gate Kennel Club's show so special is that it's a Bench Show. That means that all the dogs are required to stay on assigned benches during the day unless they are showing or being groomed. This is so fellow exhibitors, breeders and spectators can view, pet, and discuss the attributes and qualities of each breed. Say you're interested in getting a French Bulldog, at the show you can meet dozens of French Bulldogs and talk to their owners. This is a great way for visitors to get hands-on and up close breed and breeder information. The Golden Gate Kennel Club's show is one of only six benched shows in the United States.
