East Brother Lighthouse & Inn
The East Brother Lighthouse has been guiding ships through the Bay since 1873. It sits just about mile North of the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge on the Richmond shoreline and provides navigation for the ships sailing up to Sacramento and Vallejo. The small East Brother island also offers one of the Bay Area's most unique Bed-and-Breakfast inns. Accessible only by boat, the Victorian inn's isolated setting provides a romantic vista to watch the shipping and wildlife of the Bay. Proceeds from the inn is used to restore and maintain the lighthouse.
