Tourists on the Go, Fisherman's Wharf
It's hard to believe we've gone over 400 posts without highlighting one of the most ubiquitous features of San Francisco, tourists. Every year more than 17 million people visit San Francisco and many, like this couple above, engage in activities that they probably wouldn't consider back home. Whether it's renting some unusual vehicle to tour the city or sampling the pickled baby octopus off a dim sum cart, San Francisco brings out the adventurer in its visitors. If you're planning on coming out, conventional wisdom says September and October are the best months. During those months there are fewer tourists, the weather's great, and it's the harvest time in the Wine Country. Additionally, there are a lot of great festivals and events here in the Fall. C'mon out, we'll save a GoCar for you.
