Today an insider's tip: If you're visiting North Beach or Chinatown, park at the city garage at 735 Vallejo Street, then drive to the rooftop level and you'll get a nice surprise. The garage provides a stunning 360 degree view of San Francisco. The views are so nice that many films shot here contrive to get their characters up on this roof top for some added dramatic effect. Also you won't have to worry about your car, the garage is built on top of the Central Police Station and has to be the safest parking lot in the country.
