Tunnel, Kezar Stadium
Right between Golden Gate Park and Haight-Ashbury sits Kezar Stadium, home of the San Francisco 49ers for two and a half decades. The first game was played in September 1946 against the New York Yankees (yes, the Yankees). This tunnel led from the locker rooms and was travelled on game day by 49ers' greats like Y.A. Tittle, Hugh McElhenny, and John Brodie. After the 49ers moved to Candlestick Park, Kezar was converted into a soccer field and all-weather track for public use.
